John Kofie Anoku is a Research Fellow at the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER), University of Ghana. John holds a PhD in Development Studies (Nelson Mandela University, South Africa); MPhil in Science and Technology Studies (Stellenbosch University, South Africa); MSc in International Business & Emerging Markets (University of Edinburgh, Scotland, UK); MSc in Computing (University of Liverpool & Liverpool Hope University, England, UK); and BA (Hons) in Linguistics and Philosophy (University of Ghana, Legon, Ghana). Before joining ISSER, he worked as a Senior Research Development Officer with the Office of Research, Innovation and Development (ORID), University of Ghana, where he developed over twelve (12) years of expertise within the research management ecosystem including research ethics; research impact and evaluation; grants management; research publication; research uptake and dissemination; science communication; technology transfer; and research policy development. His research interests are in thematic research areas of SME development; technological innovation; digitalisation and artificial intelligence (AI) applications; and Socio-economic development issues.
