ISSER Director, Prof Peter Quartey joined participants of the Project Cycle Management Short Course on 29th October 2021, completion day of this short course, for a brief closing ceremony. The last short course for this year, the closing ceremony for the Project Cycle effectively drew the curtains on the 2021 round of ISSER short courses.
Supported by Short Courses Coordinator, Dr Cynthia Addoquaye Tagoe and Senior Members, Rev. Prof Adobea Owusu and Dr Aba Crentsil, Prof Quartey handed out certificates, extending thanks and congratulations to the students for participating fully and successfully in the two-week course.
Echoing the words of the Director, Dr Addoquaye Tagoe commended the participants for immersing themselves and responding to the demands of the intensive course, including undertaking a study trip.
She welcomed them as the newest members of the ISSER short course alumni, reiterating that they will always be welcomed at ISSER.
As with all short courses, a modest reception was organised after the closing ceremony, providing a valuable platform for students to wind down and socialise with each other and with members of the ISSER community. Some participants shared their views with the ISSER Communications Office.

The Project Cycle Management Short Course is a unique course which provides practical knowledge and skills on how to effectively manage projects from inception through implementation, to monitoring and evaluation. The course is taught by senior academics together with experienced project planners and monitoring and evaluation specialists. It also combines theory with computer-based software on Project Cycle Management.

About the ISSER Short Courses Programme
ISSER organises five professional short courses each year with the aim of boosting the capacity and productivity of practising and aspiring professionals by equipping them with the latest knowledge and skills, using the most direct, effective and efficient approaches possible.
Developed across the wide spectrum of ISSER’s research expertise, the courses run for two weeks each, targeting policy makers, analysts, project/programme implementers, consultants, monitoring and evaluation practitioners, researchers, students, among others.
The courses are: Executive Leadership Programme in Monitoring and Evaluation for Public and Private Sectors (M&E), Research Methodology and Report Writing, and Data Management and Analysis. Others are Project Cycle Management, and Survey Techniques using CAPI and NVIVO.
All short courses were successfully organised in 2021, with the exception of Survey Techniques using CAPI and NVIVO.
