ISSER Ghana has inaugurated a modern E-library, providing comprehensive digital access to institutional publications, course materials, and faculty research.
"This E-library represents one of ISSER's most significant recent achievements," said Prof. Peter Quartey, Director of ISSER. "This top-standard facility will streamline research and learning, enabling more efficient work by our students and faculty."
The 40-seat facility features modern desktop computers with high-speed internet access, connecting users to ISSER's comprehensive digital resources and the University of Ghana Library System's extensive databases. Users can access research publications, working papers, policy briefs, and historical datasets through the networked system. For those who prefer using personal devices, the space offers robust WiFi connectivity and strategically placed power outlets throughout, creating a flexible research environment that accommodates diverse working preferences.
Prince Dwomoh, ISSER's librarian emphasized the facility's service philosophy: "We've created an environment optimized for research and academic work. Our team is committed to providing exceptional service following the GREAT principle - Greet, Respond, Educate, Address and Thank."
The GREAT service model is a library customer service framework used by the University of Illinois Library at Urbana-Champaign for service delivery, training, and assessment of library customer service.
Inaugurated on December 5, the E-library primarily serves University of Ghana graduate students, with priority access for ISSER students and stakeholders. This facility underscores ISSER's commitment to advancing academic research and digital innovation.
