The Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) paid a courtesy visit to the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER) as part of efforts to strengthen the Commission's research and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) capacity.
The FWSC delegation was received by the Director of ISSER, Prof. Robert Darko Osei, together with members of the Institute’s Internal Management Team. The visit aimed to provide the Commission with an opportunity to learn from ISSER’s extensive experience in policy-oriented research, stakeholder engagement, and capacity-building initiatives.
The visiting team was led by Bernard Adjei-Poku, Director of the Research and Monitoring and Evaluation Directorate at FWSC and formed part of efforts to gather insights to guide the Directorate’s newly assumed role of research communication and advocacy.
ISSER shared practical experiences and lessons on research design and implementation, effective stakeholder engagement strategies, and the Institute’s capacity-building programmes for professionals and public and private institutions. Discussions also highlighted the importance of evidence-based research in informing public sector reforms and decision-making.

The FWSC team expressed their appreciation to ISSER for the warm reception and for the valuable insights shared, noting that the interaction would contribute significantly to strengthening the Commission’s research agenda and institutional effectiveness.
The visit took place on 10 February 2026.
