Dr. Nana Amma Asante-Poku is an economist by training and a Research Fellow at the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER), the University of Ghana. Her research over the years have focused on agricultural value chains and issues of structural transformation of the Ghanaian economy.
Her current research interests include analyses of the education sector in Ghana and gender issues in development. Nana Amma teaches gender and development at the master’s and PhD levels and economic development at the PhD level.
She has experience working on research projects with international research and policy institutions such as the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), International Growth Centre (IGC) and the International Development Research Center (IDRC
