ISSER will take a trip next week to Winneba for the 2022 edition of the ISSER roadshow. The event will be held on 11 May at the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Conference Centre (JAM), at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), in partnership with the Faculty of Social Sciences Education.

The event will provide a platform to discuss the findings of recent publications by the ISSER, namely the State of the Ghanaian Economy Report (SGER) 2020 and the Ghana Social Development Outlook (GSDO) 2020, alongside recent developments in the Ghanaian Economy.

ISSER Director, Prof.  Quartey said: “After a considerable hiatus, made longer by the COVID-19 pandemic, we feel truly excited to be able to hit the road again with the ISSER roadshow – an outreach activity that is emblematic of the importance we attach to connecting and engaging with our stakeholders.”

“We thank our colleagues at the UEW for their partnership and support and look forward to a memorable event as we engage in development-led discussions and strengthen collaborative ties.”

Dubbed harnessing stakeholder engagement and feedback for research impact, the roadshow activity is situated within the range of stakeholder engagement activities undertaken to deepen the quality and social relevance of ISSER’s knowledge-producing work. It has seen the Institute collaborate successfully with various institutions over the years, including the Economics Department of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, the University for Development Studies, Tamale, and the then-College of Education and Distance Learning, University of Cape Coast.
