ISSER congratulates Dr. Clement Adamba, an alumnus of the Institute’s PhD in Development Studies Programme, on his appointment as the inaugural Director of the Legon Centre for Education Research and Policy (LECERP) at the University of Ghana’s College of Education.

This appointment marks a significant milestone for Dr. Adamba, complementing his role as a Senior Research Fellow at the School of Education and Leadership at the University of Ghana. As the first Director of LECERP, Dr. Adamba will lead this flagship initiative, which is set to become a driving force for research-driven education policy reform in Ghana.

Since his graduation in 2012, ISSER has closely followed Dr. Adamba's professional growth, collaborating with him on various initiatives, including the “Teacher Capacity Building for Play-based Early Learning in Ghana and Sierra Leone” project (Feb. 2022 - May 2024). This partnership not only highlights his commitment to advancing evidence-based educational practices but also reflects ISSER’s dedication to fostering the professional development of its alumni and nurturing strong and productive ongoing collaborations.

Dr. Adamba’s appointment adds to a growing number of ISSER alumni who continue to excel in shaping key sectors of national development. We celebrate this significant milestone in his career and wish him every success as he leads LECERP in influencing the future of education policy in Ghana.
