The Social Division advances policy-relevant research on the social dynamics that shape human development, wellbeing, and societal progress. Its work spans critical areas such as education, health, gender, governance, and social protection, with particular attention to how policies and institutions influence inclusion, opportunity, and quality of life, especially for marginalized groups. Drawing on both qualitative and quantitative methods, the Division produces robust evidence that informs the design of social policies aimed at promoting inclusive development, social justice, and reduced inequality. Through active engagement with communities, stakeholders, and government institutions, the Division ensures that its research remains grounded, actionable, and impactful.
