The Statistics and Survey Division advances high-quality, data-driven research through the collection, analysis, and interpretation of reliable statistical evidence. It plays a leading role in the design and implementation of large-scale surveys and the application of advanced statistical methodologies that support rigorous and policy-relevant research across the Institute. The Division underpins the work of the Economics and Social Divisions by providing robust data systems, analytical expertise, and evidence that informs research, policy, and practice. It also develops innovative tools for data visualization and dissemination, making findings accessible to policymakers, researchers, and the broader public. In addition, the Division offers technical assistance and training in survey design, data analysis, and statistical modelling, further strengthening research capacity and statistical practice.
