Research Fellow

Ralph N. A. Armah is a researcher at the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER), University of Ghana, Legon. His work centres on agricultural and development economics, with interests in food systems research, agri-food trade, household welfare, environment, and other development-oriented topics.
Within these domains, Ralph delves into the dynamics of food security, food safety, and food loss, alongside agricultural value chain challenges, with particular interest in the cocoa sector. His research also explores how agri-food trade connects with sustainable development goals, as well as the socioeconomic interplay of climate change and ecological shocks, pollution, illegal mining, and natural resource policies on agrarian communities.
Ralph has associated interests in using lab-in-the-field experiments and games to analyse economic behaviour and inform evidence-based policy.
