Prof. Peter Quartey joins external advisory board of University of Warwick’s Africa Hub for implementing Africa Partnerships Strategy

Prof. Peter Quartey, Director of the Institute of Statistical Social and Economic Research (ISSER), University of Ghana has been appointed to serve on the external advisory board of the Africa Hub for implementing the University of Warwick Africa Partnerships Strategy (WAPS).

The Africa Hub is an initiative of the University of Warwick designed to function as a focal point for coordination and management of a range of activities necessary to build partnerships between Warwick and Africa-based institutions. It is being done in collaboration with the African Research Universities Alliance (ARUA), a group of elite research-led institutions.

Prof. Quartey is joining the board as an experienced economist with an established record in research, training, and leadership, and will serve alongside prominent Africa-based Warwick alumni and other individuals with ties to Warwick, brought together to provide strategic guidance for the Africa Hub.

The Hub will be formally launched in the third quarter of 2022, with an inaugural lecture by Prof. Ernest Aryeetey, Secretary-General of ARUA.
