PhD Student

Carlos Kokuvi Tetteh is a PhD candidate at the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER), University of Ghana. He holds a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Economics from the University of Ghana and a bachelor's degree in economics from Central University. He is a recipient of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) scholarship. He has undertaken specialized training in the Evaluation of Social Programs from the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL Africa), hosted at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration, and completed advanced training in Stata for statistical analysis funded by the African Social Research Initiative (ASRI) at the University of Ghana. He is a student member of the Econometric Society and the Development Studies Association.

He has developed extensive research and teaching experience across academic institutions. He served as a research assistant in the Department of Economics, University of Ghana, contributing to the World Bank–funded Childcare Entrepreneurship Project. He has also worked as a research assistant at the University of Ghana Business School in the Department of Public Administration and Health Services Management, as well as in the Department of Economics at Central University. In addition, he has served as an adjunct lecturer at the Palm Institute.

His research interests lie in climate change, green finance, and development economics. His doctoral research examines climate resilience within Ghana’s cocoa sector, focusing on the assessment of climate risks, the effectiveness of adaptation strategies, and the institutional and financial factors shaping climate finance mobilization. He has published in Scientific African, SAGE Open Medicine, International Journal of Migration and Integration, and Cogent Economics & Finance, and has served as a referee for Applied Economics, Review of Development Economics, Cogent Economics & Finance, and other peer-reviewed journals.
