PhD Student

Kingsley Osei Domfeh is a lecturer, researcher, and sustainability professional with extensive experience in development economics, environmental sustainability, sustainable finance, and financial sector development. He currently serves as a lecturer at Wisconsin International University College, Ghana, where he teaches courses in Economics, Development & Environmental Studies.

Kingsley is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Development Studies at the University of Ghana-ISSER, where his research focuses on health economics and policy. He holds an MPhil in Economics from the same institution and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Cape Coast.

Beyond academia, Kingsley has served as a consultant on sustainability and financial sector development projects. In 2024/2025, he worked as an ESG Consultant/Facilitator on an ESG project implemented by CapitalPlus Exchange (CapPlus) in collaboration with CDC Consult, where he developed comprehensive training materials to equip FIRST+ II NBFI Partners with essential knowledge of ESG principles. Facilitated a series of highly interactive ESG webinar training sessions for Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFIs). He has also facilitated Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) capacity-building programs for financial institutions and industry professionals through projects with the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana).

Prior to his academic career, Kingsley accumulated significant professional experience in Ghana’s financial sector, holding leadership and credit management positions with notable institutions.
His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Economic Studies and the European Journal of Business and Management, with work focusing on corruption, institutions, capital flight, inflation, and financial sector performance in Africa. His broader research interests include sustainable development, health, environmental and development interactions, financial sector development, and ESG policy and practice.
Kingsley is a Certified Chartered Economist, contributing to academic scholarship, professional training, and policy dialogue on sustainable and inclusive development.
