Mrs. Mawuena Akuamoah-Boateng, Administrative Secretary at the Institute of Statistical Social and Economic Research (ISSER) received a meritorious service award at the maiden edition of the University of Ghana (UG) College of Humanities Awards held on November 4, 2022.
Prior to her posting to ISSER in November 2021, Mrs. Akuamoah-Boateng was an Academic Affairs Officer (Teaching & Examinations) at the College of Humanities, a position she held for eight years (September 2014 to November 2021). The award acknowledges her long and dedicated service to the College.
Prof. Peter Quartey said: “I congratulate Mrs. Akuamoah-Boateng and hope that ISSER, and by extension the College of Humanities, will continue to benefit from her meritorious service.”
The Senior Assistant Registrar now oversees administrative duties at ISSER, playing various key roles to facilitate the smooth functioning of the Institute.
The beautiful event was held at the Conference Centre of ISSER, with the participation of several dignitaries including Prof. Gordon Awandare, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic and Student Affairs), UG; Prof. Daniel Frimpong Ofori, Provost, College of Humanities; and Mrs. Emelia Naa Kwantsua Agyei-Mensah, Registrar, UG.
