ISSER will host a panel discussion on the topic Boosting Agricultural Value Chains in the midst of COVID-19 and Political Party Manifestos.
The programme will be chaired by Prof Peter Quartey, with Mr Kwesi Korboe (CEO, GIRSAL) as the Keynote Speaker. The panel discussants are: Prof. Irene Egyir (Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness, University of Ghana), Dr. John Saviour Eleblu (West Africa Centre for Crop Improvement, WACCI) and Dr. Fred Dzanku (ISSER).
The event will bring together key academics and sector practitioners to discuss growth-limiting challenges -- many of which have been intensified by the pandemic and associated restrictions -- and exchange evidence-driven views and best practices towards a strong recovery, for a more resilient sector. It will also review selected manifestos and discuss the salient points for transforming the Agriculture Value Chain in Ghana.
