The Retail Finance Distribution (ReFinD) initiative is now receiving applications for the third round of request for proposals (RFP3) for sub-grants for research in retail finance distribution.

Accessible via the ReFinD website and affiliate platforms, this RFP offers grants across five categories: proposal development, pilot projects, natural experiments, extensions, and green field evaluations. Ranging from USD 5,000 for proposal development to USD 450,000 for green field evaluations, these grants provide significant support for impactful research initiatives.

"We are thrilled to open the doors once again for researchers and innovators to join us in our mission to enhance financial inclusion. I welcome existing and new partners, especially research communities in Asia, to engage with us in this exciting opportunity," said Prof. Peter Quartey, Executive Director of ReFinD.

Since June 2022, ReFinD has awarded fifteen grants to research institutions based in various countries, including Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, Bangladesh, and Indonesia. The third RFP is expected to attract applications from a diverse range of stakeholders across the focus regions, building on the momentum generated by previous rounds.
